图书简介

The eigenproblems investigated here include significant problems in structural engineering fields such as free vibration, elastic stability, buckling, and damage-induced disturbance in beam and shell structures, as well as mathematically challenging vector Sturm-Liouville eigenproblems. The eigenproblems belong to a class of typical nonlinear problems, which is challenging to obtain high-precision continuous order eigenvalues and eigenfunctions with high efficiency. The accuracy and efficiency of solutions put forward high requirements for numerical methods. This book develops high-performance h-and hp-version adaptive finite element algorithms and methods to obtain high-precision solutions involved in vibration, stability, and damage disturbance of beam and shell. The book covers the following main contents:(1)adaptive finite element method for vector Sturm-Liouville eigenproblems,(2)adaptive finite element method for vibration of non-uniform and variable curvature beams, (3)adaptive finite element method for vibration disturbance of cracked beams, (4)adaptive finite element method for damage detection of cracked beams, (5)adaptive finite element method for stability disturbance of cracked beams,(6)adaptive finite element method for vibration of cylindrical shells, (7)improved hp-version adaptive finite element method for vibration of cylindrical shells, and (8)adaptive finite element method for vibration disturbance of cracked cylindrical shells.<br /> Given its scope, the book offers a valuable reference guide for researchers, postgraduates and undergraduates majoring in engineering mechanics, computational mathematics, and civil engineering.
